Which schools are doing great things for nature?

LCA Awards LCA Awards Barry Halton

Does your school run projects to connect children to nature, improve the school grounds for wildlife or benefit your local environment?

We are seeking entries for our 2016 Living Countryside Awards, and this year we have added a new category for Schools and Youth Groups.

The awards recognise projects that are enhancing Bedfordshire's local environment. We've had some wonderful projects from schools entering our previous awards and we felt sure there are many more that deserve recognition, so we added a category especially focused on the great work that schools are doing all over Bedfordshire.

We would like to encourage as many applicants as possible so if your school is involved in a project such as this we would encourage you to apply. The deadline is 12th June, and the simple application form can be downloaded here.

Awards will be announced at a high-profile presentation ceremony in the autumn, and certificates can also be presented shortly afterwards to winning schools with the opportunity for photos and publicity.

If you would like any more information or to discuss a potential application please do not hesitate to contact us.
