Dr Mike Clarke, Chief Executive of the RSPB who presented the Awards. He said,
“I am delighted to host these excellent Awards in our historic Meeting Room in front of such a large and enthusiastic crowd and to be working with CPRE locally as well as nationally.”
This year’s bumper crop of 26 entries were once again all of a high standard but four received the top award, the CPRE Mark. Dr Clarke was visibly delighted to give the top Awards to:
- The Community Tree Trust for Landscape Improvement/Sustainable Living;
- Rectory Farm Wilden for Landscape Improvement;
- Rushmere Country Park, Leighton Buzzard for Landscape Improvement;
- Unity Hall, Barton-le-Clay for Historic and New Buildings.
A further 16 Awards were given to other projects.
