This workshop led by CPRE’s planning campaign manager, Paul Miner, will enable delegates to gain a deeper understanding of how the planning system works and learn how to effectively respond to planning applications. The day will involve examining case studies and there will be time to raise questions and concerns.
The day will begin with registration and refreshments and will include the following topics:
• Introduction to the planning system
• What is a local plan and why do we have them?
• How can you influence the planning system?
• The position of current local plans
• Recent changes and developments in national planning policy
• Current and forthcoming national CPRE campaigns
