Ridgmont Station Ridgmont Station Barry Halton

CPRE members and volunteers are invited to celebrate CPRE's 90th anniversary at Ridgmont Station.

Our much-valued branch volunteers and members are invited to join us on a trip to award-winning Ridgmont station on the afternoon of Monday 28th November.

The event will include a journey on the Marston Vale line from Bedford to Ridgmont station, a tour of the small heritage centre and exhibition, plus refreshments at the vintage tea rooms.

The Marston Vale railway is a small rural railway running through the heart of the beautiful Marston Vale countryside between Bedford and Bletchley, with many stations in between.

This year, the line celebrates its 170th anniversary, and looking forward, it will be a central part of the proposed new East-West railway linking Oxford and Cambridge.

The former Victorian station house underwent a total refurbishment in 2014 managed by the Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, and we awarded the station a silver award for its design and restoration in our 2014 Living Countryside Awards.

Booking is essential since places are limited. Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you'd like to join us.
