FCC is the operator of the Brogborough waste landfill site and wants to construct a 6 turbine Wind Farm on the site, which is part of the Forest of Marston Vale. Although we are fully in support of the need for renewable energy, we felt that the number of turbines would impact too greatly on this sensitive landscape, so we objected in this case. We would prefer a scheme that has fewer turbines that could be positioned further away from the Cranfield community and Marston Thrift SSSI.
