This edition highlights our latest work and activities in promoting and protecting Bedfordshire's countryside and greenspaces, including a special feature on our Living Countryside Awards 2016.

 

Local leaders have signed a call for a further million new homes and a population increase of 1.6 million people in the Oxford-Cambridge Corridor, which goes through Milton Keynes and Bedford.

CPRE members and volunteers are invited to celebrate CPRE's 90th anniversary at Ridgmont Station.

CPRE Bedfordshire is asking the Mayor and Bedford Borough Council to come clean and tell the people of Bedford Borough why they have decided to submit Freemen’s Common, an area of Common Land owned by the residents, as a site for the development of 390 houses in their Local Plan 2035 “call for sites” (site no.423)

Plans for a recycling facility on prime agricultural land at Thurleigh have been turned down by Bedford Borough Council.
